The Empathy Project is Hiring! Recruiting Young Person's and Couples Counsellors

The Empathy Project Southampton

We're delighted to share that we are recruiting again, this time for two qualified counsellors to join our team.

The Empathy Project is a non-profit community mental health service, based in Southampton. We provide high-quality, open-ended counselling to anyone who needs it.

After launching on 1st April 2024, we are seeing a rising demand for counselling for both children and young people, and for couples therapy.

We are now recruiting for two additional qualified counsellors to support our team. These roles may be combined, and you are welcome to work with individual adults as well, or any combination.

Empathy Project Southampton

Our counsellors work with us on a self-employed, paid-per-session basis. These roles are ideally completed part-time, and can be fitted around other work including private practice, or elsewhere.

You must be able to deliver at least some sessions face-to-face from our therapy rooms in Ocean Village, Southampton. Other sessions may be delivered remotely if you wish.

You must be fully qualified and registered with either the BACP, UKCP or NSCP, and hold appropriate insurance for clinical work.

The deadline to apply is Friday, 21st September. To do so, please email your CV and covering letter to our Practice Director, Charlie Gould-Smith, at charlie@empathyproject.org.uk

Interviews will be held from 23rd September onwards.
